What do I need to do to rent Studio "La Fontaine" Paris ?

1. Verify the dates of availability on the AVAILABILITY CALENDAR at

2. If your days are available, send an email which includes the exact dates that you would like to rent the studio to miller_properties@yahoo.com.

Upon verification of the availability, a link will be sent to you which will guide you in paying the 200 Euro Security/Confirmation Deposit by credit card. This amount will confirm your dates and act as a security deposit against damages and cancellation. After you leave the studio, the deposit will be refunded if the studio is left clean and undamaged, keys are returned, and no additional charges have been made to the phone. Once the deposit is recieved, we will email you a confirmation email which will verify the dates of your stay. The email will provide important information about your stay such as the studio address, entry codes, location of keys, and options for the payment of rent.

Check-Ins are usually after 4 pm, and Check-outs are at noon.

Can I Rent the studio for a few days only?

At this time, we only accept reservations of 7 days or more. However, you may find that paying for a week at the Studio Fontaine, will still be cheaper than a few nights at many Paris hotels. C'est la Vie !

 

Is it possible for me to add a couple days to my stay once I am there ?

Based on availability, additional days may be rented for 70EUR per day.

 

Is it possible for me to visit it prior to rental ?

We have provided links to our photos and information pages in order to inform out of town clients. We have attempted to make the location, interiors, and quality of the studio as clear as possible so foreign renters will not need to visit. Additionally, we cannot inconvenience current renters by showing the unit during their stay. We are available to answer any questions that you may have about the studio and its surroundings. Renting a vacation studio is like renting a hotel room, and it is too often rented to make showing it a possibility.
However, if you are already in Paris and are considering a long term stay, some arrangement to show the studio can be made while the sudio is unoccupied.

How big is the studio ?

Studio "La Fontaine" is about 160 Square Feet and sleeps a maximum of two adults. The couch can be converted into a bed wide enough to sleep two, but the beds can be separated for non-couples. Please look at the photos to have a better idea of the size.

What is the comfort level ?
We can estimate that the studio is near to a 3-Star Rating. The studio is clean and newly remodeled. We personally oversee the cleanliness and comfort of the studio and try to maximize guest enjoyment. If there is any problem, we will act to correct it.

What kind of bed does the studio have ?

The couch-bed is equipped with a mechanism to make opening and closing quick and easy. Better than a futon, each of the two twin-size mattresses is foam and much more comfortable than any futon. The second mattress slides out from beneath the couch, and is on wheels. It isn't heavy and if you choose, it can be moved around the room.
Does the Studio have Internet ?
Yes, there is wireless and ethernet high-speed internet available for free. You must have your own computer. Don't forget adaptors and converters, we are not resposible for damage caused by different electric currency.
Does the Studio have a Phone ?
Yes, the studio has phone that can be used to call most countries for FREE. Please verify that you will be calling a country covered by the plan. No calls to French Cell Phones are permitted. These are not covered and are expensive. Any additional charges will be deducted from your Security Deposit.
What other conveniences does the Studio offer ?
Cd Player, Dvd Player with Paris themed movies (in English), Television with cable. Some small shampoos, body wash, toothpaste, and toothbrushes will be available in case you forgot your own.

How long does it take to find out if my dates are available ?

Right away. You can look online at the availability calendar http://www.rentalcalendar.com/cal/?p=666 . It is updated regularly. Once you have looked online, email us and we will arrange for you to confirm your dates with a 200EUR deposit paid on a secure credit card server that offers you fraud protection.

What does the Rent Include ?

Your rent includes the stay, the electricity, the heating, the water, apartment insurance, taxes, towels and sheets, television, internet, phone (not french cell phones), and the use of two bikes.

How do I pay the Rent ?
Several options are available to you to pay the rent. Let us know which is most convenient for you prior to arrival. 1. Prior to your arrival, you may wire the rent from your bank account to our French Bank. 2. Upon arrival, you may pay the full amount in cash (Euros Only). 3. Prior to your Arrival, you may pay online with your credit card. A 3% fee will apply.

If I have to cancel, what happens to my deposit ?

If you must cancel 2 months before your check in, you will receive a full refund minus a 10% cancellation fee. If you cancel less than 45 days before check in, your deposit will not be returned. If you cancel less than 3 weeks before check in, you will be responsible for the full amount of the rent and pay the difference between your deposit and the full rental amount. After you have checked in, if you must leave early, no refund will be issued.

What happens to my Security Deposit after Check-Out ?

In order to confirm your dates, you must pay a 200 EUR deposit by credit card or a mailed money order. This amount will confirm your dates and serve as a security deposit. Once you have checked out the money will be refunded to you within a few days if the studio is left clean and undamaged, all keys are returned, and no additional charges have been made to the phone bill. If the studio needs additional cleaning, a minimum cleaning charge of 25 EUR will be deducted from your deposit. To avoid this charge: clean all dishes and silverware, wipe the sinks and the shower, pick up all garbage and wipe up all spills, leave all used linens in a pile near the door.

Is the Cleaning included ?

The cleaning prior to you arrival is included in your rent. At the end of your stay, you must leave the studio as you found it. If the studio needs additional cleaning, a minimum of 25 EUR will be deducted from your deposit to prepare the studio for the next renter. If you are staying a while and are interested in having someone clean your studio regularly, we can arrange it for 25 EUR each visit.

What can I do to leave the studio clean ?

The studio must be in the same condition as when you first arrived. We ask that you put all the linens, towels, and sheets that you have used near the door as you leave. Please clean the dishes and put everything in its place, clean the countertops, sinks, toilet, and shower. There is a vaccuum in the closet that should be used prior to your departure.

Are my things insured in case of a break-in ?

You are strongly advised to bring travel insurance with you, the owner is not responible for any theft during the rental.

Can I bring my pet ?

Because of hygiene, no animals are permitted.

Can I smoke in the studio ?

Smoking in the unit is not permitted in the studio or in the public spaces of the building. Security deposits will not be refunded if smoking is suspected.

How do I get to the studio from the airport ?
