the "Parachute
Pavilion" on open design competition for coney island, New York,
2005
The dissappearance of
the parachutes is the thematic of this architectural project.
Three diagrams explains the process of the idea :
1/ the parchutes drop down for the last time and built by them tracks
12 holes inside the building.
2/ Each holes looks like cones that are oriented to the top of Parachute
Jump . These cones built inside the building an ouside places like many
patios.
3/ The wind that coming from the sea generate through the cones an ecological
ventilation inside the building.
The space is built by
many lines who seems like a weaving. Some lines generate light around
the cones. Because of the open cones, the space is filled by many light.
The space inside the building is completly open and can be transformed.
This project is build like a memorial dedicated to the Parachute Jump.
