About the house
Hermitage
Cottage is situated on the Caribbean side of
the Island of St.Lucia overlooking the famous Ladera Resort, 10 minutes drive
from the town of Soufriere.
The Cottage was built in 1972 with local stones
and
has just been renovated. It comprises of two bedrooms
(queen-size beds) with
bathrooms en suite; a Sitting-room, a fully equipped kitchen and an
outdoor
kitchen (bar sink, Vermont Castings Signature Barbeque with side
burner). All
rooms open onto a 700sq.ft tiled terrace overlooking the
Petit Piton and the
Caribbean Sea – truly a spectacular view!
The property is on one acre of secluded private
grounds with a large pool also overlooking the Petit Piton.
Magdelena comes every morning to
make
beds, clean and cook should you require her to. Ferrad, our gardener,
looks
after the pool.
Grocery shopping is available in Soufriere.
A car is a must for this property. We
can arrange it
for you.
There are wonderful hotels and restaurants in
the
area. Ladera Resort named in the Conde Nast Traveler as the
best hotel in the
Caribbean is just below our property, Anse Chastanet, renowned for its
scuba
diving. The Jalousie Resort and La Haut
Plantation. etc..
