With the
Aztecs gone and with more than 60% of the population, the next vote for
victory
should be nothing but certain (according to what I know).
The elections
happen in 1844AD and I of course choose the ‘Diplo Victory’ election
even if I
realise I need 9 extra votes at the beginning of the turn.
During the
turn, for a change, Alex declares on Gandhi… not sure if this is good
or bad.
Results of the
elections (need 409 votes)
·
I vote
for myself (403 votes).
·
Alex
abstains
·
Gandhi
vote for…
Results
elections inconclusive... which means I will have to be elected again
(easy)
and get around 62% of the world population.
·
It is
either wait patiently, growing my cities, eventually hoping Gandhi
and/or Alex
loses population during their war.
·
Jump
in the war if one asks (both could be consider as friends).
The problem
is, apart from waiting and the fact that it is soon reporting time, to
be
really sure of having the required population I must capture cities and
the
Indians ones are just closer (and bigger) even if Gandhi is probably my
best
friend. This doesn’t really fell ‘honourable’ to me J … Here are the relation I have with
everyone:
Gandhi +14/-4
= +10
Alex +9/-9 = 0
Washington
+14/-2 = +12
In 1850AD Houston
flips to me.
Leading to a French
population equal to slightly more than 62%.
A few turns
later, in 1851AD it is election time again (I am still choosing which
one), for
“Diplomatic victory” again. This time I have to required number of vote
apparently with 410 votes out of 409 need (population still at 62%).
Which at the
end of turn, is equal to….
Diplomatic
Victory in 1851AD, at 20:12 on Monday the 19th (just in
time),
coming from a very bad position after the first Mongolian war.
