This issue, published in
2003, includes two research articles. The first examines the developing
statistical base on archives and their usage in the UK, looking also
briefly at the social, economic and educational impact of archives.
The second considers the development of museum visits and audiences in Canada,
covering participation data of over nearly three decades. In an accompanying
commentary, Davies reflects on the methodological application of this
Canadian museums analysis on audience research in the UK.
