This issue presents some results of a study on
the transmission of passion for culture in France. It particularly focuses on
two aspects: whether this passion is an heritage, thus it continues to be
cultivated by the "heir", or the result of a rupture from
family legacy to find one's freedom of expression. Various aspects are
discussed: how many French are involved in this phenomenon, what are
