  This issue is dedicated to cultural districts, focusing on their economic analysis.

The articles present theoretical foundations and public policy requirements, look at governance of integrated urban development, discuss the threats of mass tourism to cultural heritage, deal with districts based on material products belonging to a collective brand, examine strategies and indicators for the creation of cultural districts, and look at working relationships in the fashion world and film production.

The main papers are accompanied by summaries in English, the rest are case studies presenting examples of cultural quarters and networks mainly from Italy.
