Published by the European Monitoring Centre on Racism and Xenophobia (EUMC), this number of Equal Voices focuses on religious communities in the European Union, looking in particular at Muslim and Jewish communities. The articles, some by OSCE representatives, address the issues of islamophobia, antisemitism, and xenophobia.

The last article presents the Dutch project "Islam & Integration", a model of diversity management at the local level: the City of Rotterdam organised a series of intra- and inter-community information meetings and public debates on important points of conflict with a view to creating dialogue and advancing active citizenship.
