by Rey on the rise of identity issues and the impact on the social contract
(p.52-62). Also worth attention is the report on a public opinion
survey in Russia concerning the relations to the neighbouring countries
Ukraine and Belarus (p.20-28). Other articles
concern the political situation in Ivory Coast; the social role of
hospitals; and the current challenges to democracy.
The articles section is complemented by a "Carnet" which reviews topical
cultural events in France such as theatre pieces, films, television
programmes, exhibitions, concerts and books, both fiction and non-fiction.
Of special interest is here the presentation of Karambolage, an ARTE
television programme on the clash between the cultures of France and Germany
(p.104-106).
