London-based "Intelligence of Culture" (ex International Art
Bureau) has already been circulated electronically in the Cultural Policy
and Action Department.
As usual, the Compass reports on developments in the cultural
sector at EU and European level, news of the community, information on
funding possibilities, conferences, publications, etc.
Among the articles which merit special attention is the report of the colloquium on "Culture in the future
architecture of Europe" organised jointly by the EFAH and the
European Cultural Foundation, and a presentation of the EU's 6th Framework Programme for Research and
Development which includes also a cultural element in the strand "Citizens
and governance in European society".
