Worth noticing in this issue is the
introducing article by Tomaszewski on cultural identity and diversity in
relation to European integration, discussing in particular the concepts
"cultural property" and "cultural heritage". The
important role played by the Council of Europe in this field is
underlined.
The chronicle briefly presents the various conferences, seminars,
exhibitions, projects and other activities of the International Cultural
Centre during 2002. For example, it reports on the first meeting of
the HEREIN correspondents, or the experts meeting on results and
perspectives of cultural policy in Central Europe.
