The section "Reflections - Impressions - Opinions" includes a couple of articles dealing with cultural heritage. Worth notice is the one by Erdosi and Sonkoly on the complexity of national cultural heritage building in Central European states. Skrzydlo-Nisnik and Dobosz explore the application of sustainable development principles in heritage protection.

Of special interest is the contribution by Tegethoff on the relation between art and national identity, looking at the so-called national styles and exploring how national identity is expressed in art. This paper was presented at the international conference on "Nation, Style, Modernism" at the Centre in September 2003.
