This is the second issue of this new journal
which deals with the technical aspects of heritage conservation, analysis
and restoration.
The four articles in this number all deal with the conservation of
buildings, reporting about the case of a medieval cathedral in Italy;
ancient and modern principles of masonry bridges and arches; a "discontinuum"
approach to modelling masonry; and the assessment of stability of a masonry
vault of the 17th century.
