This special issue is dedicated to the topic of zoos as heritage. Worth attention is the final article on the ethical discourse in conservation campaigns and strategies, looking at examples not only in zoos, but also in archaeology. The authors argue that through the support to heritage and conservation, people gain satisfaction, fulfilling their own desires of caring for scarce resources and rescuing endangered animals (p.74-90).
