Of particular interest in this
number is the article about the new Italian law on broadcasting; one of
its aspects concerns public service broadcasting which has to devote an
adequate number of transmission hours to educational, informative and
cultural programmes. The
supplement to this issue, Iris Plus, is the second part of an
article dedicated to the legal provisions at European Union and national
level for broadcasting coverage of sporting events in the audiovisual
