Journal of Cultural Economics
vol. 30 (2), September 2006

In the opening article, Ginsburgh/Weyers discuss the link between modes of artistic creation and age-creativity curves.

Skinner deals with forecasting economic impact of successful art exhibitions, presenting a local case study from Mississippi. Liu/Putler/Weinberg study the behaviour of commercial television broadcasters on a competitive market; and Ringstad/Loyland, finally, analyse  the likelihood of buying books in Norway, using households survey data.

Of special interest among the three book reviews is the one by Wyszomirski who presents Schuster's study of a cultural policymaking system at the state level in the case of Washington.
