The dossier in this number
deals with the problem of piracy in the field of cultural industries and
presents the Ministry's plans to fight these activities. A colloquy was
organised by the Centre national de cinematographie to discuss strategies
to sensitise the public to the consequences of illegal downloads for the
audiovisual sector. Of special interest is the memorandum on European cultural co-operation written on the occasion of the EU enlargement by the French Minister for culture who underlines the importance of cultural diversity and pluralism for Europe.
