Of special interest in this number is the dossier presenting the measures of
the French government to support the music industry, in particular targeted
at record publishing; it includes a short outlook on the activities of
promotion and co-operation which are likely to be integrated into Culture
2007, the new cultural programme of the EU. Also of interest is the short
article on the planned copyright law, spelling out the official
French position.
