Music Forum
vol. 11 (4), August - October 2005

Of special interest in this issue of the Music Council of Australia’s magazine is the short article on braille transcriptions of copyrighted music works, not considered in the Australian Copyright Act; the Australian society of music publishers now granted this exception for non-commercial educational purposes.

Noteworthy might be furthermore the presentation of the Endangered Instruments Programme, launched recently to encourage young people to play rarer music instruments.

This number is complemented by a special insert on Australian government funding available for music education.
