In this number of the journal of the Music Council of Australia, its
director comments on the adoption of the UNESCO Convention on Cultural
Diversity, looking in particular at the role of the USA. Of interest is
also the account of the 7th International Symposium on Cultural Diversity in
Music Education in Brisbane in November 2005 which dealt with topical issues in the field of multicultural arts and
education policy. Furthermore the number presents the main findings of the
recently released Australian National Review of School Music Education. |
