Of interest in this number is the article by Doevendans and Schram who examine the discord between the urban forms distinguished by the French architectural historian Foster - the accumulation city and the creation city - and their influence on 20th century urban planning.

The article by Swedberg dwells upon the new way of understanding and depicting Rodin's monument "The Burghers of Calais" as an example for collective and civic courage.
