Theory, Culture, Society
vol. 23 (5), September 2006

Of special interest is the article by Zaidi who discusses the Muslim responses to modernity and Western cultural dominance from a socio-cultural perspective; the author presents the ongoing process of construction of an Islamic worldview and its critique of modernity as social theory that implies a dialogue with Western theories.

Worth noting, furthermore, is the conversation between Held and Patomäki on the theoretical basis for a model of global democracy.
