This bilingual number of the international journal of critical thought contains articles reflecting on the current issue of dynamics between religions and politics: the uses and misuses of religion in political life, ethno-politics, ethnic wars and human rights. The issue also touches on questions of religion and ethnicity, religious identities, and secularity and orthodoxy. 

Contributions deal, for example, with cultural policy in the divided Belfast, confrontations in Israel, experiences from South East Europe. A photography portfolio, looking at religious groups in North America, is included in the number.
