Pierre-Yves SORIN

Professional musician since 1968, he gets noticed very quickly and starts a 4 month tour in the USA between 1969 and 1970. While in New York he discovers the music of Ray Charles, Dizzy Gillespie, Elvin Jones, Bill Evans, Miles Davis... He particularly likes "Lifetime" by Tony Williams and John Mc Laughlin. Back to Paris he puts together one of the first jazz-rock band in France: Triode. They tour during 2 years and record an LP in 1971.
