no. 179, April 2007

One of the main topics of this number is the "blockbuster" Tutankhamun show in London which will transform the British exhibition scene: two million visitors are predicted to pay up to 20 £ to see the Egyptian treasures (p.7).

Worth attention is also the short news item in the Conservation section about multilateral restoration funding in Kosovo (p.37): the first donation in the UNESCO-led project came from the United States and will be dedicated to the restoration of three Orthodox churches, a monastery, two mosques and a hamman.

Also included is the dossier What's on providing information on activities of museums and galleries, fairs, auctions and so on worldwide during April 2007.
