Culture et recherche
no. 111, printemps 2007

This number's dossier is dedicated to geographical information, looking at its various applications, mainly in France, in the areas of heritage, architecture, archaeology, landscape management, and even linguistics. Articles present, for example, the atlas of sites inscribed in the List of World Heritage, or the use of geographical information in fighting a beetle infestation in the museums of Marseille.

Of special interest is the article on the French Landscape Atlas which identifies and describes the landscapes according to the European Landscape Convention of the Council of Europe which entered into force in France in July 2006 (p. 27-28).
