This number includes various articles on cultural policy issues in the UK: the cover story is dedicated to the problems of the Heritage Lottery Fund now that its money has been diverted from museums to the 2012 London Olympics; it is feared that this highly efficient and sophisticated funding mechanism is being junked (p.38). Another article deals with the new sectary of State for Culture, James Purnell; he stated that statistical criteria in arts and cultural policy are out, but fears remain about funding (p.7).
