From the two articles in this issue,
the first one reviews the problem of protecting the heritage of moveable archaeological objects
in England and Wales.
The other examines how cultural statistics are used in making
international comparisons, highlighting major problems and offering a
checklist for cross-country cultural data comparisons (see also the abstract
in the
New Acquisitions May 2006).
