This number presents the results of a survey on
the practices of downloading cultural contents among French Internet users
in 2005, focusing on the use of peer-to-peer (P2P) networks. The impact of
downloading music files, movies and video-games on cultural consumption and
participation has been considered as well: Internet users think that their
downloading behaviour negatively influences the purchase of CDs or DVDs, but
