This special edition of Europa Nostra's bilingual journal is dedicated to the 2004 round of the European Union Prize for Cultural Heritage / Europa Nostra Awards scheme.

The issue presents the various projects, studies, individuals or organisations which have been awarded a money prize, a medal or a diploma for outstanding achievements in safeguarding cultural heritage, covering architectural heritage, cultural landscapes, art collections and archaeological sites.
