This newly launched, London-based
magazine specialises on European questions and "Europeanism",
focusing on the relations with Central and Eastern
Europe, in particular Russia. It covers political and economic subjects,
but looks also at cultural and philosophical issues. Of
special interest in this first number is the interview with Carrère d'Encosse
who highlights the cultural dimension of European identity and pleads for
a further EU enlargement, eventually including Russia. The interview with the Italian minister
of culture on current European questions and on Italy's particular responsibility in the field of
heritage protection, may be of interest as well.
