This number of the Newsletter of the
International Council of Museums focuses on mediation. This is the second of
a three-part reflection on how ownership issues affect museums and the way
museum professionals work. Murphy deals with how museums are
becoming mediators nowadays, and Carducci looks at non-litigious resolution
of ownership disputes. The section Museums of the World presents
three museum islands (in US, Greece and Malta) which are famous for their
connection with culture and heritage. The remaining sections inform, as usual, on activities of ICOM and its committees. Selected articles of the Focus section are available online on the ICOM website at this external link. |
