This is the third issue of this new journal
dealing with the technical aspects of heritage conservation, analysis
and restoration. The first article in this number describes stone as a construction material, using the the Rakanji stone arch bridge in Japan as example (p.227-250). The second article also deals with masonry constructions, investigating seismic damages in historical and new masonry minarets in Turkey (p.251-271). The last two articles present a technical survey of chestnut wood (p. 272-292), and a review of principles and techniques in monitoring the effects of moisture on buildings (p.293-310).
