International Journal of Arts Management
vol. 7 (2), 2005

The contributions in this number combine, as usual, cultural management research with case studies, dealing this time with issues such as control, marketing, audiences, and including also a company profile of the Royal Opera in London.

Worth noting is the article on the privatisation trends in the museum sector and the impact they have on pricing; although based on the case of Taiwan, the findings can be relevant for Europe, too. Also of interest is the survey of cinema attendance in the Netherlands which has been increasing since the 1990s; the author provides a survey of Dutch moviegoers and demonstrates the impact of targeted distribution strategies such as flexible scheduling.
