International Journal of Cultural Policy
vol. 10 (3), 2004

The opening article is an interesting piece on the interrelations between new technologies and national measures to support film and television; quota systems will soon get obsolete in the light of digital and satellite technologies which, on the other hand, could be applied for the promotion of national culture.

Of interest is also Dubois' article on the institutionalisation of cultural policy in France, using the case study of the municipal cultural policy of the town Bron as starting point. Worth noting is furthermore the paper on the emerging links between cultural policy and sport policy in the UK. Three articles are dedicated to cultural policy issues in China, Singapore and Taiwan.
