Journal of Arts Management, Law and Society
vol. 33 (2), summer 2003

This issue is dedicated to "non-arts entities", namely arts intermediaries such as governments, agents, arts managers, publishers or private donors, all of whom play an important part in the process of arts creation and delivery.

This issue particularly focuses on whether this "intermediation" creates a positive value, as described in the article by Fernández and Prieto-Rodríguez on the Spanish movie industry case, or will likely prove unsuccessful in the long run as Tschmuck shows in his article on the role of record companies in the music industry.
