Federal Cultural Foundation Magazine
6 - 2005

The magazine of the German Kulturstiftung des Bundes reports on the Foundation's cultural activities and the various projects it funds, both in the area of contemporary culture and cultural heritage.

This issue includes a focus on migration and immigration in Germany. "Project Migration" investigates the cultural repercussions of migration, tracing social and cultural changes from its beginning 50 years ago, when the first foreign worker recruitment agreement was signed. The project aims at a better public awareness of the cultural impact of immigration and will present the results in form of an exhibition.

Also interesting is the article on public perception and representation of immigrants in stereotype language styles, looking also at the rise of immigrant language in German film and music.
