The magazine of the German
Kulturstiftung des Bundes reports, in English, on the Foundation's activities and the
various projects it funds. In this number, special emphasis is given to the recently launched
New Music Network, a major programme set up to promote public awareness of
contemporary music and to attract larger audiences. Of particular interest is the article presenting the
series of conferences the Federal Cultural Foundation will hold during the
German EU Presidency in the first half of 2007, addressing important European issues. Also to look out for: the
critical paper on cultural identity building of the EU on the basis of
values; the presentation of
cultural exchange projects between Germany and Eastern Europe, as well as of initiatives
encouraging cultural participation, in particular of new and young
audiences. |
