As usual this magazine presents new developments in the field of cultural
policy especially concerning Germany. This number's focus section takes
stock of Germany's cultural policy at federal level and looks at its future
challenges. Worth reading is the article presenting a European Commission study on the importance of access to culture and cultural participation for social cohesion. Of European interest is the essay by Schwencke on prospects of European cultural policy after the referenda against the EU Constitution, as well as the presentation of the results of the EUROCULT21 project on urban cultural policies. Furthermore, the article on the meaning and the use of cultural policy by Wagner provides an interesting historical outline of this concept. The table of contents and selected articles are available online on the website of the Kulturpolitische Gesellschaft at this external link. |
