The opening article in this issue introduces the draft law adopted by the National Assembly in March 2006 to implement the EU directive on copyright in the information society. The dossier presents the modernised Théâtre national de l'Odéon which recently re-opened in Paris after several years of renovation. Worth noting is also the article on the new web services of the national book centre, the Centre national du livre.
