Theory, Culture, Society
vol. 24 (5), September 2007

Of special interest in this number is the article on European identity, incorporating a mystical dimension into the historical foundation of European origins in Greek and Minoan civilisations (p.47-76).

Also of interest: the article on Bourdieu's early work, investigating the status of his social texts in relation to the practices of social scientific enquiry (p.77-98).

Worth attention furthermore: the analysis of the conflict that recently occurred within Italy's far right with regard to their stand on immigration (p.99-126).

The second part of this number is dedicated to Baudrillard including two articles, one examining the emergence of his radical theory of evil (p.127-133), the other providing an account of Baudrillard's sustained engagement with simulation (p.135-145).
