This number of the journal on explorations in critical social science is a special issue on life. Contributions approach the topic from an interdisciplinary approach, targeting the continuum between nature and culture and the philosophical current of vitalism. They look at a variety of themes covering  energy discourse, genetic engineering, "fabulation" and film theory, political theory, time and subjectivity.
