This special issue of the interdisciplinary journal is dedicated to the contribution of economic analysis - in particular valuation methods - to the development of modern tourism policy.

The articles present various examples of how to establish the value of public goods in tourism - such as environmental quality or destination attributes - and how to use it in the sustainable management of tourism products.
