MUUUUUUUUUUUSE!!!! They laugh at absurdity. They shriek in the face of boredom. They are Britain's weirdest band and 'New Born' is the sound of Matt Bellamy's hyperactive brain exploding in slow motion over Freddie Mercury's grave. The kind of shameless histrionic popera destined to be used by contemporary dance groups intent on choreographing lunacy, this single is so pompous, overblown and vacuous that the only reasonable conclusion to be drawn from such an entertaining mess is that it sounds as though MUSE had a great time recording it. Bellamy has lost his mind, this much is clear. For the sake of comedy, let's hope he never finds it.
