- I am the Ocean appears on Welcome to the modern dancehall (1999), the She's so Disco EP (1999) (both the EP and the 7" vynil) and the I am the Ocean EP (2000).
- A live re-orchestrated version closes The man who was already dead (2000) [recorded Sept. 26th, 2000]
- On the Scisma record Armstrong, which one can easily find in Italy, Marc Huyghens sings a version of I'm the Ocean without the strings but with distorted electric guitars and a saxophone. Not very good, but this is only my opinion.

Giorgia Poli, who wrote the music for this song, is the female bass-player from the Italian band Scisma. Marc Huyghens met her during the tour following the release of the Royalsucker EP (in late 1998).
She also introduced Venus to the Italian rock scene, who would soon become one of their strongholds, and where they would eventually find the Florence-based record company Sonica to replace BMG/RCA.
Since then, Scisma has split up.
