Black spirits and white
Red spirits and grey
Mingle with the night
You that mingle may
White bodies and dark
Shadows in the haze
Your memory can last
As it can fade away
I'm black and I'm white
I'm red and I'm grey
I will mingle with your minds
Cause I cannot escape
And I will mingle with the night that comes
As I mingle with the day that falls
And I will mingle with the sigh that grows
As I mingle with the pain you hold
Black spirits and white
Red spirits and grey
Mingle with the night
You that mingle may
And I will mingle with the night that comes
As I mingle with the day that falls
And I will mingle with the sigh that grows
As I mingle with the pain you hold
And I will mingle with the night that comes
As I mingle with the day that falls
And I will mingle with the sigh that grows
As I mingle with the pain you hold

Notes |
|
|
Actually, this is my favourite Venus song. Probably
from the play Kiss from the Ghost, if you consider
the subject and the vocabulary.
The band has often played this song on stage (at the mini-tour
in French FNAC record stores following the release of Welcome...,
or at the Dour Festival, for example), but it was recorded
for the first time for The man who was already dead.
