International Journal of Arts Management
vol. 9 (2), 2007

From the six articles in this issue, the opening one investigates the future-oriented approach of associations which advocate cultural heritage preservation in the USA. The next two deal with management issues, one with recruiting and retaining volunteers, the other with an orchestra in crisis. The following one analyses the characteristics of luxury and art products; and the profile is dedicated to the new Artistic Director of the National Ballet of Canada, Kain, who used to be a dancer.

Of special interest is the article by Petr on non-regular cultural consumers, investigating the links between consumption and subscriptions, based on a survey carried out among theatre visitors in France.

In addition to the regular abstracts in English, French and Spanish, this number includes again short summary articles in French.
