Red Cross from
Belgium, Conference "Volunteers
and paid-staff in the non profit sector ", Brussels (Belgium),
6th of March 2009
The belgian Red cross has been working with the
University of Liège (South of Belgium) on the relationship
between volunteers and paid staff among their teams. Experts of
volunteering and representatives of the national societies of the
Red Cross (in Europe and Africa) were invited to deliver a
speech.
The president of iriv has presented the relation
ship between volunteers and paid staff focussing on either
complementarity or competition between both of them.

"Projects enhancing the Copenhagen process - From policy to
practice", Helsinki, 5 December 2006
The Socrates - Leonardo da Vinci
Agency of Finland together with the Center for International
Mobility (CIMO) have organised a conference to make a statement
and prepare the future of the European cooperation in the field of
Vocational Education and Training (VET). On this occasion, 10
European projects, selected among 157 Leonardo da Vinci projects
(2000-2006), in 31 countries, were awarded.
Dr France Huntzinger, professor
at the University of the Maine, partner of the AVE project ,
delivered a speech on behalf of the president of
iriv when receiving the award for excellent practice
in addressing the priorities of the Copenhagen process and
promoting and enhanced European cooperation in VET (
