Geography of Morvan

Hydrography

Its geographic position and its relief bring to Morvan the Atlantic influences (on the West) and continental (in the East).

In the first one, he owes an important rainfall which, combined with the presence of a granitic pedestal preventing the infiltration of waters in depthes, give birth to a dense river system.

The chalaux, the tributary of the Cure

The pond overturning of the Seine is fed by the Yonne and the Cure, that of the Loire by the valleys of Ternin and Arroux.
