Lyrics |
|
|
I left the corpses far behind and I escaped
A distant voice reminds me how
Desire fades
In a long, in a long, in a long moan
Those bodies buried in the sand
In bloodstained clothes
Were whithering hand in hand
Like a faded rose
In a long, in a long
In a long, long night-gown
In a long slow-down
In a long, long night-gown
In a long moan
I left a dead soul far behind and I ran further
Still this morning I think time
Can bring about murder
I saw those empty shadows bend
But I won't slump down
The battle made me loose [?] a friend
But I keep on walking
In a long, in a long
In a long, long night-gown
In a long slow-down
In a long, long night-gown
In a long moan
In a long, long night-gown
In a long slow-down
In a long, long night-gown
In a long moan
I left the corpses far behind and I escaped
A distant voice reminds me how
Desire fades
I left them far behind and they still scream
And you remind me how
Desire is

Notes |
|
|
A very nice song, often played on stage by the band.
Probably from the play Kiss from the Ghost, if you
consider the subject and the vocabulary.
The lyrics reproduced here are taken from the sleeve of The
man who was already dead. However, I have doubts that
the battle "made me loose" but rather "made
me lose" a friend.
